**About the Callaway Energy Center**
The Callaway Energy Center is a nuclear facility located in mid-Missouri, with a strong record of safe operation throughout its 30-year history. The Energy Center is a highly efficient, low-cost, sustainable source of electricity for Ameren's 1.2 million customers.
**Job Summary**
The Rad/Chem Supervisor is responsible for supervising, directing, and coordinating either Chemistry or Radwaste activities at the Callaway Energy Center. Key responsibilities include:
* Reviewing and submitting requisitions for purchase and issuance of all material, equipment, and spare parts associated with the department
* Supervising assigned personnel, including scheduling work assignments and ensuring staff allocations are adequate to meet plant operating conditions
* Reviewing, revising, and maintaining department procedures
* Assumming Emergency Response Organization (ERO) duties in accordance with the Callaway Energy Center Radiological Emergency Response Plan (RERP)
* Implementing, directing, and coordinating the Primary, Secondary, and Raw Water Chemistry Programs
**Qualifications**
High School Diploma or equivalent required. Five or more years of nuclear or relevant experience in Chemistry, Radwaste, Operations, or Radiation Protection activities required. Good leadership, decision-making, analytical, communication, and human relations skills are required.
**Working Conditions**
The Radwaste / Chemistry Supervisor works a standard day shift in an office/plant environment. Additional hours, callouts, and/or rotating shifts or Outage schedules may be required to support plant operations.
