Military Master Planner Job Description

Vernadero Group Incorporated is a Veteran-Owned Small Business providing infrastructure and environmental program support to Federal agency projects nationwide. We seek a skilled Military Master Planner to support the Office of the Chief of Army Reserve (OCAR), Army Reserve Installation Management Directorate (ARIMD).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support master planning for the Military Construction Army Reserve (MCAR), Real Estate, and Asset Management programs for ARIMD.
  • Facilitate planning charrettes and provide technical assessments of facilities in accordance with Unified Facilities Criteria Installation Master Planning.
  • Prepare economic analysis using ECONPAC and DD1391s in PAX.
  • Experience with MILCON activities, Department of Army database, and software packages including RPLANS, ASIP, Army Mapper, GFEBS, HQIIS, ISR, and ENBOSS.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Planning, Landscape Architecture, Environmental Science, Geography, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of professional military master planning experience.
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills, including dealing with senior officials.
  • Highly organized, fast learner, and able to work in a complex environment.
  • U.S. citizenship and ability to travel nationwide.
  • Valid U.S. driver's license.
  • Ability to achieve Government security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Graduate degree in a planning-related field.
  • AICP Certification.
  • Experience with the Department of the Army, the U.S. Army Reserve (USAR), and relevant USAR policy directives.
