General Medicine Practitioner

Location: Waco, TX - Per diem opportunities available within a 30-mile radius.
Compensation Structure:
- $600 for a half-day (4 hours)
- $1300 for a full day (8 hours)
- $650 for completion of all mandatory training and initiation of assignment
Position Details:
- This role is on a PRN basis, with ongoing needs.
- We welcome applicants with specialties in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or general medicine experience, including those familiar with compensation and pension processes.
- Two coverage options are available: conduct examinations at a designated facility or schedule appointments within your own practice.
- Flexibility to work either half-days (4 hours) or full days (8 hours).
- Responsibilities include conducting non-treatment C&P examinations and separation health assessments.
- Examinations are primarily interview-based, supplemented by physical assessments such as range of motion and muscle strength testing.
- No prescribing or treatment is involved in this role.
- Quick credentialing and onboarding process.
- DMA certification is available (CME credits can be earned) and must be obtained once privileged if not already certified.
- Use of a Goniometer is required.
- Familiarity with musculoskeletal, diabetes, and cardiovascular conditions is essential.
- Proficiency in METs testing and evaluating respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions is necessary.
- Applicants must possess a personal laptop (NO MACs).
Note: The provider will be required to complete their DMA training.
