Position Overview

Cyber Security Incident Response Specialist

We are in search of a skilled Windows Infrastructure Administrator to facilitate comprehensive lifecycle development and maintenance operations.

Security Clearance Requirements

This role mandates that all applicants be U.S. Citizens with an Active Secret clearance and the capability to secure TS/SCI clearance. Candidates must also be eligible for DHS suitability prior to commencing employment.

Key Responsibilities

Engage in 24x7 operational support (shift to be determined) and potential weekend duties. The Windows Infrastructure Administrator is responsible for managing a virtual system environment. Responsibilities may encompass User Administration, System Administration, Documentation, and end-to-end Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) support. Collaborate with developers and the infrastructure support team to deliver vendor application assistance. Develop and uphold Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that establish policies and standards for the maintenance of customer systems and resources. Oversee and maintain all Production, Pre-Production, and Development systems within a Windows framework. Execute System Administration tasks including Active Directory, Group Policy Object (GPO) management, patching, application support, and activities related to account management, resource monitoring (CPU, memory, disk, etc.), and system log auditing. Implement and supervise the Enterprise Windows Servers, testing and applying patches, updates, additional tools, and future software versions regularly. Ensure compliance with Information Security Vulnerability Management (ISVMs) and Intelligence Community Vulnerability Alerts (ICVAs), while providing support for Department of Defense Security Technical Implementation Guides (DoD STIGs). Conduct Systems Lifecycle management, which includes planning, implementation, maintenance, upgrades, consolidation, and decommissioning of enterprise hardware and software. Manage system requirements and derived requirements to guarantee compatibility with defined architecture and fulfillment of customer needs.

Qualifications

Required Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with a minimum of 6 years of applicable experience
    • A Master's degree in a related discipline may substitute for 4 years of experience
    • Professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree

Required Skills

  • Active Secret clearance is mandatory.
  • Must obtain DHS Suitability before starting work.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows server and client administration (Windows 2016 and Windows 2019).
  • Experience in building Windows Servers.
  • Familiarity with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
  • Knowledge and experience in applying STIGs to secure Windows services and applications.
  • Experience with Windows Server Update Services (WSUS).
  • Proficient in backups/restores, ePO McAfee, VMware 6.0 or higher.

Desired Skills

  • Familiarity with SQL Server 2016 and higher.
  • Experience with Microsoft Exchange Server 2016 and higher.
  • Knowledge of Altiris.
  • Experience with SharePoint Server.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Windows Server 2016/2019.
  • Experience with Venafi Certificate Management Systems.

Desired Certifications:

  • Relevant Microsoft certifications (e.g., MCSE, MCSA), Security+ CE.
