We are seeking a skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team at the Good Samaritan Society Skilled Nursing Facility in Superior, NE. As a key member of our dining services team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality food and exceptional customer service to our patients, residents, staff, and visitors.
Responsibilities- Prepare and cook a variety of menu items, including baked goods, entrees, and desserts, following standardized recipes and HACCP guidelines.
- Ensure food quality, safety, and sanitation standards are met at all times, adhering to Good Samaritan Society's food quality standards.
- Operate kitchen equipment, including mixers, slicers, kettles, combination ovens, and dishwashers, to prepare and serve food.
- Work collaboratively with internal customers, including patients, residents, staff, and visitors, to provide excellent customer service and ensure their needs are met.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to Good Samaritan Society's sanitation and cleanliness standards.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written directions.
- Basic math skills to accurately measure ingredients and follow recipes.
- Minimum of six months of applicable experience in food preparation and service, or on-the-job training provided.
- Depending on location, Serv Safe certification may be required within a designated time frame.
