We are seeking a highly skilled Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) Engineer to join our team at Network and Data Solutions Integrators (NDSI). As a VDI Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing cutting-edge virtual desktop solutions for our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Design and define VDI system architecture for new or existing computer systems.
- Coordinate system development to include design, modeling, security, integration, and formal testing.
- Provide Tier 3/4 support to system administrators to resolve VDI issues.
- Offer guidance on optimization of desktops for platform interoperability and act as liaison between Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) technologies.
- Maintain advanced knowledge relative to administration, engineering, and implementation of virtual desktop infrastructure-related technologies.
- Operate across multiple and complex production environments with multiple stakeholders.
- Apply extensive technical expertise and have full knowledge of other related disciplines.
- Conduct trade studies and make recommendations on solutions and 'make buy' decisions.
- Experience providing engineering support for legacy and current versions of Citrix products.
- 1.5+ years of experience with BS degree or a combination of years of experience and education.
- Progressive roles from Administrator to Sr. Engineer.
- Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops v7.15 and later.
- Citrix Provisioning Services (PVS) and Machine Creation Services (MCS).
- Citrix Cloud Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD).
- Citrix Netscaler / ADC / VPX.
- Citrix Workspace Environment Management (WEM).
- Citrix App Layering.
- Liquidware Profile Unity.
- Hyper V, VMWare VDI (Microsoft or Citrix NetScalers / ADCs).
- Experience managing and administering Windows Server clustering.
- Experience with Infrastructure as code technologies such as Terraform, Ansible, etc.
- System Center Virtual Machine Manager/Vmware Vcenter 6.7.
- Active Directory/ Group Policies.
- Home Directory and Profile management Support Services.
- Desktop Software provisioning and Support Services.
