Position Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse (Circulate)

Overview:
We are in search of a proficient and seasoned Operating Room RN for a contract role. The primary responsibility involves circulating within the operating room, with a strong preference for candidates possessing scrub experience. The schedule consists of five 8-hour shifts during daytime hours. This opportunity is particularly suitable for RNs holding a compact license, as New Hampshire operates under compact licensing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Circulate in the operating room for a variety of surgical procedures, including orthopedic surgeries (total hip, total knee), general surgery, gynecological procedures, podiatry, urology, ENT, and endoscopic surgeries.
- Administer and manage arterial lines, central lines, and initiate IV starts.
- Monitor and operate ventilators and BiPAP machines for patient care.
- Scrub experience and Phase I recovery skills are highly valued.
Candidate Requirements:
- Experience: A minimum of 2 years of current hospital experience in the operating room is required, with specific circulating experience in the aforementioned surgical types.
- Skills: Proficiency in arterial line management, central line care, IV initiation, and operation of ventilators and BiPAP machines is essential. Scrub and Phase I recovery experience is highly preferred.
- Certifications: PALS certification is mandatory, along with ACLS and BLS (AHA) certifications.
- Education: A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
- Travel Experience: Previous travel nursing experience is preferred but not a requirement.
- Documentation: Candidates must provide a comprehensive work history, a skills checklist (current within one year and relevant to the specialty), and at least one supervisory reference from the past two years.
Licensure Requirements:
- A valid New Hampshire state license or a compact license is required. The facility will not pend a license.
Certifications Required:
- ACLS
- BLS (AHA)
- PALS (AHA)
