Job Overview

The Kid's Playroom Associate plays a vital role in ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for children. This position requires a commitment to providing exceptional care and supervision while fostering a positive atmosphere for both children and their parents.

Key Responsibilities

Essential Duties Include:

  • Confirm that all parents or guardians have completed a Kid's Playroom agreement and submitted an emergency information card.
  • Manage the sign-in and sign-out process for each child.
  • Maintain a secure environment for children in the designated play area.
  • Oversee and engage with children during activities, ensuring they remain within the designated space.
  • Attend to children's needs, including changing diapers, cleaning clothing, and providing personal care.
  • Participate in games and activities with children to enhance their experience.
  • Report any incidents to the Kid's Playroom Supervisor and General Manager.
  • Administer first aid as necessary, adhering to company protocols.
  • Address member complaints and relay them to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Conduct housekeeping tasks to maintain cleanliness and safety in the playroom.
  • Ensure that all toys and equipment are sanitized and safe for use.
  • Uphold policies and procedures consistently.
  • Respond to inquiries from parents and visitors.
  • Handle payment transactions efficiently.
  • Recommend disciplinary actions for children who misbehave to the Kid's Playroom Supervisor or General Manager.
  • Prioritize the safety and well-being of children at all times, following established safety guidelines.
  • Maintain current CPR certification for infants and children, providing documentation to the supervisor.
  • Exhibit a friendly, positive demeanor while interacting with children and their families.
  • Communicate any notable behavior or incidents involving children to their parents or guardians.
  • Keep management informed of any unusual situations or conditions.
  • Seek assistance from supervisors when faced with special circumstances.
  • Attend mandatory training sessions as required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Kid's Playroom Supervisor.
Qualifications

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to maintain a friendly, enthusiastic, and positive attitude.
  • Understanding of basic cash handling procedures.
  • Capability to manage challenging customer interactions with patience and professionalism.
  • Exhibit a high level of integrity, professionalism, and work ethic.
  • Demonstrate exceptional customer service skills.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours as needed.

Experience and Education:

  • At least six months of relevant experience.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills are essential.
  • Basic computer proficiency is required.
Physical Requirements
