Position Overview
The Orthopedic Surgery Physician Assistant Lead plays a crucial role in the healthcare team, providing guidance and support to fellow Physician Assistants. This leadership position collaborates closely with the Trauma Medical Director to enhance the department's operational standards and achieve higher verification levels.
Key Responsibilities
1. Oversee and manage the scheduling for the Physician Assistant team.
2. Coordinate and facilitate onboarding sessions for new team members.
3. Develop and deliver ongoing educational programs for both the team and hospital personnel.
4. Participate in Trauma Morbidity and Mortality meetings as the Advanced Practice Provider Liaison, offering constructive feedback and educational insights to the team.
5. Assist with various tasks related to the trauma program as needed.
Educational Requirements
Mandatory: Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
Licensure and Certifications
Mandatory: Valid Physician Assistant license; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; eligible for Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration.
