Position Overview: The Trailhead Store Associate plays a crucial role within our retail team, primarily overseeing the daily operations of the Trailhead Store and bar service. This position is essential in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring that visitors enjoy the highest quality experiences during their time at the Garden.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recognize the significance of each visitor to the Garden and strive for excellence to enhance their experience.
  • Greet and assist customers at the Trailhead Store, handling retail transactions, preparing beverages, promoting merchandise, and selling memberships.
  • Perform daily operational tasks, including merchandising, organizing displays, receiving products, managing inventory, and utilizing a point-of-sale system.
  • Act as a knowledgeable resource about the Garden, its grounds, upcoming events, and product offerings.
  • Provide guests with current promotional and marketing materials.
  • Manage and maintain information systems for retail and bar sales.
  • Handle cash and card transactions accurately, ensuring proper register closure at the end of each day.
  • Compile and maintain daily reports and closing procedures.
  • Maintain a professional work environment and presentation for the public.
  • Train other staff members on proper procedures as necessary.
  • Support all Garden programs and events.
  • Embody the Garden's Mission Statement and assist staff and leadership in achieving organizational goals.
  • Perform additional duties as needed to contribute to the Garden's vision and mission.

Qualifications:

  • Quickly acquire product knowledge to assist customers effectively.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage pressure.
  • Provide consistent service to visitors in demanding situations.
  • Multitask and assist multiple clients simultaneously.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Self-motivated with strong computer skills.
  • Excellent communication abilities are essential.
  • Willingness to wear a uniform and work outdoors as required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience in database management is a plus.
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Commitment to serving all guests equitably, regardless of background.
