Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated LVN/Nurse to join our Health Services team at Tomball ISD. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing the district's school health program and providing direct services to meet the needs of students and staff under the clinical supervision of the Director of Health Services or the school nurse (RN).

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement district school health program
• Provide direct services to meet the needs of students and staff
• Work under the clinical supervision of the Director of Health Services or the school nurse (RN)

Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED
• Valid Texas license issued by the Board of Vocational Nurse Examiners
• Certification in basic first aid and CPR
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Proficient keyboarding and file maintenance skills
• Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written)

Working Conditions:

The job requires contact with sick and/or injured person(s), which may include exposure to body fluids, bacteria, communicable diseases, and disruptive behavior. There may be exposure to potentially hazardous medical equipment and/or chemicals. The job requires ability to perform CPR and other vigorous activities related to nursing duties. The job requires walking, standing, bending, kneeling, and lifting/carrying work-related items such as medical equipment, books, etc. and possibly lifting up to 53 pounds when assisting with a student or employee transfer.
