Duke Health is seeking a skilled Plumber, Journeyman to join our team. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems and fixtures in accordance with industry standards and codes.

• Install, connect, and test plumbing fixtures, including urinals, water closets, wash basins, sinks, and drinking fountains.
• Monitor and troubleshoot major plumbing breakdowns, diagnosing trouble and taking corrective action as needed.
• Determine the routing of pipe and location of plumbing fixtures, accessories, and equipment, following trade practice specifications, blueprints, and codes.
• Indicate lines and points on walls, floors, and ceilings to locate pipe routes, inlets, outlets, connections, fixtures, and equipment.
• Check, service, clean, and connect oxygen, nitrous oxide, and suction regulators.
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks as scheduled.
• Provide technical guidance and direction to lower-level personnel.

• High school diploma or equivalent, with coursework in skilled crafts or trades training.
• Four years of experience in the installation and repair of plumbing systems and fixtures.
• City Plumber's license.
