Job Title: Clinical Psychologist III

Children's Hospital & Research Center Oakland is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist III to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in providing psychological services, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health disorders in children and adolescents.

Job Summary:

The Clinical Psychologist III will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive psychological services to patients and families. This includes conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and providing individual and group therapy sessions. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments of children and adolescents, including cognitive, emotional, and behavioral evaluations.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, family therapy, and other evidence-based interventions.
  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions, as well as family therapy sessions, as needed.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and nurses, to provide comprehensive care to patients and families.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and develop treatment plans.
  • Document patient progress and treatment plans in electronic medical records.
Requirements:
  • Doctorate degree in psychology or a related field.
  • California licensure as a psychologist.
  • At least 7 years of experience providing psychological services to children and adolescents.
  • Experience working with diverse populations, including children and adolescents with complex mental health needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in a hospital or clinical setting.
  • Experience with electronic medical records.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based treatments for mental health disorders in children and adolescents.
