Salary and Benefits

The hourly rate for this position is $34.06 - $52.55, with a scheduled weekly hours of 30. Job Description

As an Interventional Radiology/Special Procedure Technologist, your responsibilities will include:

  • Acquiring, manipulating, and processing computer-enhanced and radiographic images utilizing Interventional Radiology equipment.
  • Communicating with patients to obtain informed consents, pertinent clinical history, and ensuring optimal results.
  • Collaborating and planning with Radiologists, referring physicians, and technologists for the selection of procedural protocols.
  • Assisting in the coordination of patient care activities.
  • Providing appropriate tray set-ups and performing surgical scrub procedures utilizing a thorough knowledge of sterile technique.
  • Performing IV contrast injections, starting IVs, and monitoring patients under conscious sedation per hospital policy.
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory guidelines and requirements.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • A graduate degree from an AMA-approved radiologic technology program.
  • A current ARRT (R) credential.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of cross-sectional and vascular anatomy and skill in recognition of normal and abnormal variants.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of radiation safety.
  • Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association.
  • Current ACLS certification or the ability to obtain within six months of hire.
  • Current RTRCV certification or the ability to obtain.
  • Previous experience as a staff technologist, preferred.
  • At least one year of experience in vascular/interventional imaging, preferred.
