Job Title: Internal Audit Manager

Vaco is assisting our client in the Memphis, TN area with an Internal Audit Manager position.

Job Responsibilities:

This position reports to the VP of Internal Audit, coordinates with Senior Management, all divisions and departments, and external and contract auditors, and supervises assigned audit staff and project teams. This role will have up to 15% of travel.

The Internal Audit Manager will perform advanced level and/or managerial professional internal auditing work, managing or conducting financial, compliance, and operational audit projects; providing consulting services to organizational management and staff; providing input to development of the annual audit plan; and providing training, coaching, and supervision to internal audit staff.

Essential Duties:
  • Manage the identification and evaluation of the organization's risk areas and provide major input to the development of the audit plan.
  • Manage the performance of audit procedures, including identifying and defining issues, developing criteria, reviewing and analyzing evidence, and documenting client processes and procedures.
  • Communicate the results of audit and consulting projects via written reports and oral presentations to management.
  • Develop and maintain productive client, staff, and management relationships through individual contacts and group meetings.
  • Pursue professional development opportunities, including external and internal training and professional association memberships, and share information gained with co-workers.
  • Ability to establish and maintain harmonious working relationships with co-workers, staff and external contacts, and to work effectively in a professional team environment.
Qualifications:
  • Certification as a CPA, CIA, and/or CISA.
  • 3+ years public company auditing experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Audit Board software.
  • Experience in Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, data analytics, and/or cybersecurity.

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to: the individual's skill sets, experience and training; licensure and certification requirements; office location and other geographic considerations; other business and organizational needs.
