  • Position Overview: We are in search of a proficient and meticulous Pathologists Assistant to become a vital part of our healthcare team. This role involves collaborating closely with pathologists to execute a range of tasks critical to the precise and effective analysis of tissue samples. A solid grasp of anatomical pathology, exceptional organizational abilities, and the capacity to operate autonomously as well as within a cooperative team are essential for success in this position.
  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Support pathologists in the thorough examination, dissection, and documentation of surgical specimens, ensuring accurate identification and record-keeping.
    • Conduct macroscopic dissection of surgical specimens, including intricate and varied cases, in compliance with established protocols and standards.
    • Prepare tissue samples for histological processing, ensuring correct orientation and marking.
    • Execute frozen section preparation and evaluation as required during intraoperative consultations.
    • Maintain precise and comprehensive records of specimen evaluations, observations, and diagnostic results.
    • Assist in training and overseeing pathology residents, medical students, and other healthcare staff in specimen handling techniques.
    • Oversee and maintain laboratory equipment and supplies necessary for specimen processing and evaluation.
    • Comply with laboratory safety protocols and procedures to ensure a secure working environment.
    • Engage in quality assurance and quality improvement initiatives to enhance laboratory operations and patient care outcomes.
