This is a 3rd Shift Position 10:30pm to 7am Sunday thru Thursday with on-call rotating weekends.
Responsibilities:- Monitoring and repairing boilers, chillers, cooling towers and HVAC systems.
- Performing preventative maintenance as required.
- Constructing, finishing, installing, maintaining and repairing electrical and mechanical systems, or the facilities of any related systems, using power and hand tools and other necessary equipment.
- Cleaning, lubricating, servicing, repairing or diagnosing malfunctions of HVAC, electrical and mechanical building systems, sterilizers, sprinkler and standpipe systems, transport systems, electronic signaling systems, fire alarm systems and similar specialty equipment items with appropriate training, certification skills and licensing requirements as needed.
- Reading blueprints, specifications and models to learn work layout; planning own work layout.
- Maintaining logs, performing rounds and completing tests and inspections.
- Responding to emergency problems in the facility and performing emergency repairs as needed.
- Making recommendations for modification or improvement of preventive maintenance systems.
- Previous experience as a Boiler Operator in an institutional setting.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to use computerized work order system.
- HS Diploma or GED.
