Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse

Central Care Inc is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse to join our team. As a PICU RN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to critically ill infants, children, and adolescents in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess and manage the care of critically ill patients, including those requiring advanced life support and mechanical ventilation.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
  • Perform various pulmonary ventilation treatments, including administration of oxygen through invasive and non-invasive means.
  • Assist physicians with complex procedures, such as cardioversion, insertion of central lines, and intubation.
  • Operate and monitor complex technical equipment, including hemodynamic monitoring devices, ventilators, and oxygen monitors.
  • Provide patient and family education on medication management, health maintenance, and illness prevention.
  • Manage nursing care for patients on multiple medications and technical equipment, including assessments, determining abnormalities, making decisions, and taking corrective action.
Requirements:
  • Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse.
  • Minimum of three years of experience as a Registered Nurse, with at least one year of experience in Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.
  • Current certifications in Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support.
