Philosophy Instructor

Fresno City College is seeking a part-time Philosophy Instructor to join our faculty pool. As a Philosophy Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching Philosophy courses to our diverse student population.

• Teach Philosophy courses as assigned, utilizing a variety of pedagogies and instructional delivery systems.
• Communicate effectively with students, faculty, and staff.
• Evaluate student progress through tests, examinations, written assignments, and oral responses.
• Provide course syllabi to students and maintain classroom records in accordance with District Policy.
• Turn in all required student grading and evaluation reports in a timely manner.

• Mastery of Philosophy subject matter.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students and staff.
• Experience working with diverse student populations.
• Ability to adapt to changing curriculum and instructional needs.

• Experience teaching Philosophy courses.
• Knowledge of current assessment methods and materials.
• Ability to work collaboratively with faculty and staff to enhance instruction and student learning support.

Newly hired part-time faculty will be placed on step one (1) of the salary schedule. Salary and benefits are based on education and experience.
