Neonatology Specialist

Position Overview:

• Responsible for the management of a 22-bed Level 3 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) with an average daily census of 14 patients, along with oversight of the newborn nursery.
• Involved in approximately 2,700 deliveries annually, with around 340 admissions to the NICU each year.
• Work schedule includes in-house coverage with a rotation of 2 weeks on duty followed by 1 week off, complemented by night coverage from Neonatal Nurse Practitioners (NNPs).
• Utilization of advanced medical technologies such as jet ventilators, high-frequency jet ventilation (HFJV), inhaled nitric oxide (INO), and whole body cooling techniques.
• Opportunities for educational engagement with Family Practice and OB/GYN residents, as well as medical students.
