St. John's Episcopal Hospital is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Radiology team. As a Radiology Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our diagnostic imaging services.
Job Summary:
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to work in our Radiology department. The ideal candidate will have experience in critical care or emergency department settings and be familiar with interventional radiology and nuclear care lab procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional patient care and education, ensuring patients understand the procedures and risks involved.
- Assess and evaluate patient status to determine the need for maintenance of continuity of nursing care.
- Report and record all significant patient incidents and identify potential risks for contrast reactions.
- Perform routine venipuncture and assist radiologists and technologists in all modalities of Radiology to ensure patient safety.
- Conduct ongoing assessments of patients during specialized examinations.
Requirements:
- NYS RN License required.
- BCLS / ACLS Certifications required.
- Conscious Sedation Certification required.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in Critical Care/Intensive Care Unit or Emergency Department.
- Interventional Radiology and Nuclear Care Lab experience required.
- Associate Degree, Nursing required, BSN preferred.
