Essential Skills & Qualifications
  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related STEM field.
  • Over 8 years of extensive experience in core Java, focusing on developing robust, scalable, and maintainable applications while adhering to Object-Oriented Design principles.
  • Proficient in concurrent programming techniques.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies, particularly emphasizing test-driven development.
  • In-depth understanding of Java internals, including class loading and memory management.
  • Familiarity with distributed caching frameworks such as Gemfire, Oracle Coherence, Redis, or similar technologies.
  • Database experience with RDBMS, preferably Oracle, and NoSQL, ideally MongoDB.
  • Comfortable working in a Linux environment, including scripting capabilities.
  • Knowledge of Autosys.
  • Experience with SDLC/DevOps tools such as Git/Bitbucket, CI/CD frameworks like Jenkins, SonarQube, JIRA, and secure coding toolkits.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience in the capital markets sector.
  • Understanding of derivatives and risk management principles.
  • Background in re-engineering large monolithic systems into microservices.
  • Experience transitioning complex, mission-critical applications to modern platforms.
  • Familiarity with cloud computing technologies, including practical experience with containers, microservices, and large datasets (Docker, Kubernetes).
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead advanced technology initiatives as an individual contributor, providing expertise throughout the software development lifecycle, from conceptualization and design to development, testing, and deployment.
  • Act as a mentor or coach to mid-level and junior developers and analysts, enhancing the overall engineering capabilities of the team.
  • Provide technical leadership on projects executed by a diverse team of Software Engineers and Analyst Developers, leveraging advanced application development knowledge.
  • Collaborate effectively with a global team of software engineers, business analysts, dev-ops, and support personnel to deliver impactful software solutions for the organization.
