Maintenance Worker

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Maintenance Worker to join our team in the Parks and Recreation department. As a Maintenance Worker, you will be responsible for performing various tasks to maintain the cleanliness and upkeep of our parks and recreation facilities.
Key Responsibilities:- Operate power equipment such as mowers, trimmers, and edgers to maintain park grounds and facilities.
- Remove litter and debris from parks and recreation facilities to ensure a clean and safe environment.
- Perform janitorial duties in parks and recreation facilities, including cleaning restrooms and other areas.
- Inspect playground equipment, picnic tables, and other park amenities to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Maintain park amenities to ensure safe use and enjoyment by the public.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- One year of experience in grounds or facility maintenance preferred.
- Valid Florida Driver's License required.
This position requires working outdoors in various weather conditions, including rain and extreme heat. The employee will be exposed to moving mechanical parts, heavy equipment, and other hazards. The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud.
