Position Overview:

The opportunity is centered around Oracle's Business Intelligence solution, specifically Oracle Analytics Publisher, which offers a robust reporting framework designed to simplify the creation, management, and distribution of reports and documents more efficiently than conventional reporting tools.

This position involves devising innovative and effective solutions for challenges faced by clients in both Cloud (SaaS & PaaS) and On-Premises settings. The responsibilities encompass a wide range of solutions, from customer training and straightforward workarounds to configuration adjustments and extensive code modifications. Such modifications may include the introduction of new components or even significant architectural transformations within the product. An architectural mindset is essential for generating ideas that directly influence our clientele.

The role spans the entire product lifecycle, from development and maintenance to deployment in cloud/on-premises environments and enhancing end-user experiences. Participation in design evaluations of new features is crucial, advocating for supportability and maintainability. Continuous innovation is necessary to propose and implement engineering solutions that align with customer needs, ensuring successful deployments in cloud environments or within client infrastructures.

Additionally, the role involves developing new diagnostic tools to expedite and enhance the troubleshooting of customer issues. Frequent cloud releases necessitate short cycles for building product content, collaborating with QA teams for validation, and deploying updates. This structure allows engineers to witness the immediate impact of their contributions, providing a rewarding experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in complex tasks, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the cloud stack.
  • Collaborate as part of a team focused on addressing technical challenges in intricate systems.
  • Build networking skills and a holistic understanding of lifecycle events associated with Oracle's offerings.

Qualifications:

  • BS/MS in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Extensive experience in developing, debugging, and utilizing multithreaded applications.
  • Proven ability to quickly assimilate new technologies.
  • Solid grasp of concurrency, multithreading, and memory management.
  • Hands-on experience with Java, JavaBeans, JavaScript, JMS, HTML, and CSS.
  • Proficient in building and utilizing REST and SOAP APIs.
  • Knowledge in developing, implementing, and optimizing software algorithms.
  • Strong understanding of data structures and operating systems.
  • Familiarity with SQL and principles of relational database design.
  • Good knowledge of XML and XSL/XSLT.
  • Basic understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Self-driven and dedicated to producing high-quality software.
  • Effective team collaborator.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Business Intelligence or Analytics.
  • Experience with Cloud services such as OCI, AWS, or Azure.
  • Knowledge of Terraform and Python.
