About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Alden Long Grove Rehabilitation and Health Care Center. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and leading our team of nursing assistants in delivering high-quality care to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision: Supervise and direct the nursing assistants in their daily activities, ensuring that they are providing the highest level of care to our residents.
  • Patient Care: Provide direct nursing care to our residents, including administering medications, performing routine charting duties, and ensuring that their needs are met.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure that their needs are met and that they receive the best possible care.
  • Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure that our care meets the highest standards.
  • Education and Training: Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest best practices in geriatric care.
Requirements
  • Education: Current RN or LPN license in the State of Illinois and/or Wisconsin.
  • Certifications: Current CPR certification or willingness to obtain within two weeks of employment.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to move intermittently throughout the workday, with the ability to lift, push, pull, and move equipment, supplies, and residents as needed.
