We are currently seeking a full-time Salesforce Engineer, Risk Assessment.
Position Overview:
As a Salesforce Engineer, you will take charge of the database architecture and platform setup for the organization’s incident reporting and claims management system. Your role will involve crafting and advocating for optimal design solutions tailored to user needs in collaboration with the Risk Assessment department. This position is highly technical and demands meticulous attention to detail, effective execution, and follow-through on various initiatives. Success in this role hinges on your ability to analyze, identify, develop, and implement process enhancements within the organization. You will serve as a trusted advisor to our team and clients, while also mentoring fellow Salesforce professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the Salesforce environment, including customization and implementation of profiles, roles, security settings, validation rules, applications, custom objects, fields, page layouts, workflows, flows, approvals, dashboards, and reports.
- Design scalable and efficient solutions within Salesforce, ensuring coherence and streamlined processes.
- Integrate knowledge from the risk management and healthcare sectors with database design and platform configuration to create optimal solutions for the Risk Assessment System.
- Facilitate discovery sessions with business stakeholders to comprehend existing and desired processes, bridging communication between various departments for project scoping and requirements gathering.
- Identify, develop, and implement process improvements within and beyond the Risk Assessment system.
- Promote consistent design and best practices to address similar challenges across multiple departments and applications.
- Produce comprehensive documentation of business requirements and design specifications for implementation.
- Manage the onboarding and offboarding processes for Salesforce users.
- Stay updated on best practices and technologies, providing guidance on Salesforce-based solutions.
- Collaborate closely with management on the incident management process.
- Train team members, both internal and external, on the use of complex systems.
- Monitor help tickets and collaborate with partners to ensure timely resolutions.
- Assist with departmental budgeting as required.
- This job description does not encompass all duties that may be assigned by management.
- Proficient in database design.
- Adept at translating business requirements into technical specifications.
- Bachelor's degree in risk management, industrial engineering, information science, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred).
- Experience with global operations is advantageous.
- Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time, including international trips.
- Salesforce/Riskonnect Administrator and Salesforce certification are required.
- Strong skills in APEX & Visualforce development, including Controllers, custom development, Custom Settings, Triggers, JavaScript, JSON, and SOQL.
- Experience in building managed applications and AppExchange development is a significant advantage.
- Familiarity with deployment automation using Metadata API, Change Set, and ANT is a plus.
- Experience in a software product company is beneficial.
- Knowledge of integration with Python and/or Java is a plus.
- Agile development experience.
- Project management experience with complex, long-term projects.
- Strategic approach to solution design with a proven ability to develop and execute tactical plans.
- Excellent coaching, motivational, and leadership skills for a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to create presentations and effectively communicate with top management and public groups.
- Process-oriented with the capability to lead and implement process changes.
