SUMMARY:
The IT Project Manager is responsible for guiding, overseeing, and ensuring the effective execution and management of various IT enterprise software implementation initiatives. These projects must adhere to established parameters of scope, quality, timeline, and budget, while also necessitating agile change management to deliver significant business outcomes. A robust understanding of Enterprise Business Applications (ERP, CRM, HCM) along with Agile/Scrum methodologies is essential. The role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams, including software developers, business analysts, and stakeholders, to implement and optimize business applications utilizing agile frameworks.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Define and schedule project deliverables, milestones, and tasks.
- Provide leadership and motivation to project team members throughout the project lifecycle.
- Establish work plans and staffing requirements for project phases, ensuring the right personnel are in place.
- Collaborate closely with both internal and external project managers.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
- Translate business needs into functional requirements and ensure clarity in communication with the solution delivery team.
- Manage organizational change, training, testing, data migration, and cutover processes.
- Implement a project communication strategy and conduct regular status meetings with stakeholders.
- Coordinate with the internal audit team to gather necessary documentation.
- Monitor project activities to maintain the quality and integrity of information.
- Ensure project objectives align with business goals.
- Delegate responsibilities and authority to project teams effectively.
- Direct project teams to ensure adherence to schedules and budgets.
- Establish standards for project reporting and documentation.
- Continuously assess project management performance for improvements.
- Enhance team agility through coaching and maturity assessments.
- Facilitate the adoption of agile methodologies and best practices.
- Lead sprint and release planning sessions, along with other agile ceremonies.
- Identify and eliminate obstacles to team success.
- Support the organization’s transition to a continuous delivery model and foster an agile mindset.
- Engage with project sponsors, key stakeholders, and project teams to ensure alignment and collaboration.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field, along with 5+ years of experience in deploying Enterprise Business applications.
- At least two years of experience in a junior or assistant project management role.
- Preferred experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or Epicor 10.
- Proven ability to build strong relationships across an organization.
- Experience in advancing technical projects with minimal oversight.
CERTIFICATIONS:
- PMP certification is advantageous, with familiarity in PMBOK knowledge areas.
- Agile certifications such as CSM or PSM are preferred.
COMPETENCIES:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems.
- Strong customer service orientation and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of business management principles and practices.
