About the Position
We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at North County Nursing & Rehabilitation. As a key member of our healthcare staff, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support to our residents.
Responsibilities
• Use the wristband or photo card file to identify residents before administering treatments, serving meals, and providing care.
• Record all entries on flow sheets, notes, charts, and other documents in an informative and descriptive manner.
• Use only authorized abbreviations established by our facility when recording information.
• Report all changes in the resident's condition to the Nurse Supervisor/Charge Nurse as soon as practical.
• Report all accidents and incidents you observe on the shift that they occur.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to our facility's policies and procedures.
Requirements
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age-related needs of the residents served.
• Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
• Must be a supportive team member, contribute to, and be an example of team work and team concept.
• Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm, as well as the willingness to handle difficult residents.
Education and Experience
• Must possess, as a minimum, a 10th grade education.
• Must be a licensed Certified Nursing Assistant in accordance with laws of this state.
