Job Summary

As a CT Technologist at Portsmouth Regional Hospital, you will play a vital role in producing high-quality images to aid in the diagnosis of medical conditions. Your expertise will be essential in preparing patients for procedures, explaining the process, and positioning them to capture optimal images requested by physicians.

  • You will accurately interpret scanning instructions, administer contrast materials, and operate CT scan equipment to produce detailed cross-sectional images of patients' bones, organs, and tissue.
  • Assist radiologists in administering medication and contrast agents, performing biopsies, and providing care to patients.
  • Prepare examination rooms for CT scans and invasive procedures, ensuring a clean and organized environment.
  • Monitor inventory of supplies and maintain room cleanliness to ensure a smooth workflow.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date.
  • ARRT-CT certification preferred.
  • CT experience preferred.
