Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Summit Pacific Medical Center. As a Registered Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in our inpatient unit and emergency department.

Responsibilities
  • Provide respiratory care to patients with a variety of conditions, including chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), pneumonia, and acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS).
  • Conduct pulmonary function tests, including spirometry and arterial blood gas analysis.
  • Develop and implement individualized respiratory care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Current certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) via the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
  • 2 years of experience in a critical care setting, preferably in an inpatient unit or emergency department.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to analyze complex patient data and make informed decisions.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced certification in critical care, such as Certified Critical Care Registered Respiratory Therapist (CCCT).
  • Experience with mechanical ventilation and other advanced respiratory therapies.
  • Knowledge of electronic medical records and other healthcare technology.
