We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Summit Pacific Medical Center. As a Registered Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in our inpatient unit and emergency department.
Responsibilities- Provide respiratory care to patients with a variety of conditions, including chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), pneumonia, and acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS).
- Conduct pulmonary function tests, including spirometry and arterial blood gas analysis.
- Develop and implement individualized respiratory care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Current certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) via the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
- 2 years of experience in a critical care setting, preferably in an inpatient unit or emergency department.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to analyze complex patient data and make informed decisions.
- Advanced certification in critical care, such as Certified Critical Care Registered Respiratory Therapist (CCCT).
- Experience with mechanical ventilation and other advanced respiratory therapies.
- Knowledge of electronic medical records and other healthcare technology.
