At BAYADA Home Health Care, we're seeking a skilled Home Health Occupational Therapist to join our team in Sunderland, Maryland.
Job SummaryWe're looking for an experienced occupational therapist who can deliver high-quality care to patients in their homes. As a Home Health Occupational Therapist, you'll work closely with our interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive rehabilitative services and support clients in achieving optimal independence.
Responsibilities- Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' functional status, including muscle function, endurance, visual coordination, written and verbal communication skills, and ADL and IADL performance.
- Develop individualized intervention plans to address cognitive, psychological, and motor aspects of performance.
- Evaluate home environments for hazards or barriers to independent living and identify equipment needs and environmental adaptations.
- Continuously assess and revise occupational therapy care plans in collaboration with nursing professionals.
- Educate and instruct patients, family members, or caregivers on necessary skills and strategies for safe and effective daily living.
- A current Maryland Occupational Therapist license.
- Prior home care experience is preferred but not required.
- A minimum of one year of recent work experience as an Occupational Therapist.
- Graduation from an occupational therapy program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Occupational Therapy Education (CAOTE).
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Solid computer skills, including prior experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
