We are seeking a dedicated and patient-focused Occupational Therapist PRN to join our team at Resilient Healthcare. As an Occupational Therapist PRN, you will play a vital role in developing, recovering, or maintaining the daily living and work skills of individuals with physical, mental, or developmental conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess clients' needs and develop personalized occupational therapy treatment plans to support their engagement in occupations that impact their health, well-being, and quality of life.
  • Select and adapt the most effective occupational therapy treatment models, methods, and approaches to direct interventions and maximize client outcomes.
  • Apply interventions to enhance client safety and performance in activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs).
  • Teach clients new strategies for approaching tasks and educate them on breaking down activities into manageable components.
  • Conduct home and environmental assessments to identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations for modifications.
  • Recommend and train clients on the use of adaptive equipment to enhance their independence.
  • Collaborate with family members and caregivers to provide education and support.
  • Monitor and document client progress towards long- and short-term treatment goals.
  • Collect and analyze data to inform treatment decisions and improve client outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an Occupational Therapist with a strong understanding of occupational therapy principles and practices.
  • Excellent knowledge of ADLs evaluation tools, such as the Katz ADL scale and Lawton IADL scale.
  • Ability to work with clients of diverse personalities and backgrounds.
  • Current knowledge of treatment practices and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Valid and current Texas OT license and BLS/CPR certification.
  • BS degree or greater in Occupational Therapy.
