Job SummaryAs a Medical Surgical Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic and diverse environment. You will work with a variety of diagnoses and populations, including post-surgical, orthopedic, and neurological/stroke patients.
Responsibilities- Ensure quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards and measuring health outcomes against patient care goals and standards.
- Perform and document patient assessments and reassessments following nursing and departmental policies and procedures.
- Formulate a plan of care and update as needed to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Perform interventions based on critical thinking and technical skills assimilated from assessments, reports, and information communicated by other healthcare providers.
- BSN Required - Will accept ADN if enrolled in BSN program - Must have BSN in 36 months (3yrs)
- Current Texas State Licensure as a Registered Nurse (Compact license is accepted but TX State RN license required within 30 days of hire)
- Current BLS
- At least 2 years of Med Surg experience
- Acute care experience
- Experience with Cardiac Rhythm interpretation and assessment
