About the Job

We are seeking an experienced Surgical Operating Room Specialist to join our team at CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital - Medical Center. The successful candidate will assist surgeons and medical staff during surgical procedures, ensuring a safe and efficient operating room environment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist Surgeons and Medical Staff: Pass instruments, sutures, and other materials to surgeons and medical staff during surgical procedures.
  • Maintain Aseptic Techniques: Ensure a sterile environment by following proper cleaning and disinfection protocols.
  • Transport Patients: Safely transport patients to and from the Operating Room suite.
  • Position Patients: Position patients according to the type of surgery being performed.
  • Care for Biological Specimens: Identify and handle biological specimens in accordance with hospital policies.

Requirements

  • Education: Completion of the Surgical Technology program is required.
  • Experience: 2 or more years of experience in a similar role is preferred.
  • Certification: Certification as a Surgical Technologist from The National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting within 180 days of graduation is required.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this position is $65,000 - $85,000, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
