Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Genpak. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing electrical and mechanical repairs on our equipment, ensuring optimal production efficiency and quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on electrical and mechanical systems, including Extruders, Thermoformers, and ancillary equipment.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues, using schematics and technical documentation to resolve problems.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and prevent downtime.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules to ensure equipment is properly maintained and running efficiently.
  • Collaborate with production teams to resolve equipment-related issues and minimize downtime.
  • Stay up-to-date with new technologies and techniques to improve maintenance efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; electrical apprenticeship or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, including pneumatics and hydraulics.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to lift 75 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid Powered Industrial Truck Certificate and Lockout/Tagout Certification required.
Working Conditions

The Maintenance Technician will work in a manufacturing and warehouse environment, exposed to various weather conditions and potential hazards. The noise level in the work environment is moderate, and the employee will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed.
