Job Summary

Soliant is seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our team on a part-time basis. As an SLPA, you will work closely with licensed Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to support the delivery of speech and language therapy services to students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Screening: Assist SLPs in conducting assessments and screenings of students with speech and language disorders.
  • Therapy Implementation: Implement therapy plans and interventions as directed by the SLP.
  • Direct Therapy Services: Provide direct therapy services to students individually or in small groups.
  • Progress Tracking: Document and track student progress and provide regular updates to the supervising SLP.
  • Resource Development: Assist with the development of educational materials and resources for therapy sessions.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with teachers and other school staff to support students' communication needs in the classroom.
Qualifications
  • Education: Associate's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, or a related field (Bachelors degree preferred).
  • Licensure/Certification: Current SLPA licensure or certification in Delaware or Maryland.
  • Language Skills: Bilingual preferred but not required.
  • Experience: Experience working with children in an educational or clinical setting is highly desirable.
  • Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to adapt and respond to the diverse needs of students.
