Radiology Technologist Position in Washington State
About the Role:Magnet Medical is seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join their team in Everett, Washington. As an Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist, you will be responsible for assisting physicians with minimally invasive procedures using advanced imaging technologies such as fluoroscopy, CT scans, and ultrasound.
Responsibilities:- Prepare patients for procedures by reviewing medical history, verifying patient information, and explaining the procedure to ensure informed consent.
- Assist interventional radiologists during procedures, operating imaging equipment to guide the physician and maintaining a sterile environment.
- Administer contrast agents or dyes as directed by the physician to enhance visibility of blood vessels or organs on imaging.
- Monitor patients' vital signs during procedures and report any changes to the medical team.
- Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the procedure, positioning them appropriately to obtain optimal images while preventing injury.
- Take precautions to minimize radiation exposure to both the patient and the healthcare team by following radiation safety protocols and using shielding.
- Regularly maintain and inspect IR equipment, ensuring it is functioning correctly.
- Troubleshoot any equipment malfunctions during procedures to ensure minimal disruption to patient care.
- Work closely with interventional radiologists, nurses, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the success of each procedure and high-quality patient care.
- A competitive salary of $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience.
- A tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
- Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.
- Current certification in radiologic technology and interventional radiology.
- Experience working in interventional radiology or related field.
