Job Summary

Soliant is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist to work in a school district near the Alviso area. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1+ years of occupational therapy experience and a strong background in working with students with special needs.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluation and Assessment: Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments of students' fine motor skills, sensory processing, and activities of daily living.
  • Individualized Education Plans (IEPs): Develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure students receive targeted support.
  • Progress Monitoring: Regularly monitor and document student progress towards IEP goals, making adjustments as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Occupational Therapy Services: Provide occupational therapy in individual or group settings, focusing on enhancing students' functional abilities and promoting independence.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of evaluations, progress notes, and communication with relevant stakeholders.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with teachers and staff to integrate therapy goals into classroom activities and routines, ensuring a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • IEP Meetings: Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to educational goal setting, ensuring students receive the support they need to succeed.
Job Details
  • Work Schedule: Full or part-time, Monday through Friday, during school hours.
  • Caseload: Discussed during interview.
  • Work Setting: Onsite in a school district.
