Head of Cloud Network Engineering

DISH Network L.L.C is seeking a highly skilled Head of Cloud Network Engineering to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of cloud-based data center network environments supporting the buildout of DISH's 5G wireless infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee network planning, cloud infrastructure, and design of cloud-based data center network environments.
- Review architectural standards and updates, providing feedback and executing the implementation of large-scale Cloud Networking within public cloud providers.
- Understand and configure public cloud providers networking capabilities, functions, and carrier networking technologies such as SR-MPLS, QoS, and 5G packet core infrastructure and needs.
- Manage the Cloud Network Design/Implementation team, including hiring, planning, communicating, and management of the team.
- Create, maintain, and upgrade the cloud network infrastructure, designing and developing cloud network node configurations.
- Support validation, deployment, optimization, and operations of cloud network nodes, managing capital budget, commercial contracts, software purchase orders.
- Test and validate new software services, feature enhancements, and software bug fixes, developing and maintaining two-to-three-year strategic cloud infrastructure.
- Develop and oversee change management and quality assurance processes, reviewing and approving engineering design proposals, implementation plans, and acceptance plans.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field.
- 7 years of experience in Job offered, or as Network Engineer, Consultant (Network Architect), Product Manager, or closely related role.
- 7 years of experience with/using the following: IPv- SLAAC and DHCPv6, Software Defined Networking (SDN) - Design and Traffic Engineering; Multi-site architectures, VDCs, edge routing, BGP, iBGP, IS-IS, VRFs, QoS.
- Integration with public cloud providers including AWS, Azure, or GCP; OSI model, routing and switching protocols, network security, IPv4 and IPv6 networking, subnetting, and operational; Network Deployment and Operations Automation - Ansible, Cloud Formation; and Network configuration automation (Scripting with Perl, Python, Bash, and Cloud).
