Job Title: Resident Assistant

Join Harmony Senior Services as a Resident Assistant and make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents. As a key member of our care team, you will provide exceptional support and care to our residents, ensuring they feel valued, respected, and empowered to live their best lives.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide personal care and assistance with activities of daily living to residents, promoting independence and dignity.
  • Encourage residents to participate in community activities and events, fostering a sense of belonging and connection.
  • Conduct activities and programs that promote mental and physical well-being, such as exercise classes, arts and crafts, and social events.
  • Assist with meal service, ensuring residents receive nutritious and delicious meals in a pleasant dining environment.
  • Respond promptly to resident calls for assistance or emergency alerts, providing timely and compassionate support.
  • Collaborate with the care team to ensure residents receive comprehensive care and support, addressing their physical, emotional, and social needs.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, ensuring confidentiality and adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development, staying up-to-date on best practices and industry standards.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Completion of an approved personal care aide program or equivalent experience.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with residents, families, and colleagues.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds, push or carry 25 pounds, and safely transfer residents while maintaining proper body mechanics.
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
