Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Athletic Trainer to join our team at Union County Middle School. As an Athletic Trainer, you will be responsible for providing medical coverage for our student-athletes, including injury prevention, assessment, and treatment. You will also work closely with our coaching staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible care for our athletes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide athletic training services to high school students, including injury prevention, assessment, and treatment.
  • Work closely with coaching staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible care for our athletes.
  • Develop and implement injury prevention programs for student-athletes.
  • Assess and treat injuries, including acute and chronic conditions.
  • Collaborate with our Sports Medicine Team to ensure seamless care for our athletes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training from a Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE) program.
  • Current athletic training certification by the Board of Certification for the Athletic Trainer (BOC).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Work Environment

This is a full-time position, with set hours varying depending on departmental needs. Some night and/or weekend work may be required. The Athletic Trainer will provide services in the on-site high school athletic training room.

Physical Requirements

This position requires standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, and talking. The ability to lift, carry, push, and/or pull up to 100 pounds is also required.
