Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Imaging Technologist to join our team at Hillsboro Health. As an Imaging Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality imaging services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform imaging examinations under the direct clinical supervision of the Radiologist, as qualified, per physician's orders.
  • Utilize correct technique and positioning to produce high-quality radiographs.
  • Screen patients for allergies and sensitivities to contrast media and make appropriate decisions regarding its use.
  • Operate general X-ray equipment, performing portable and surgical procedures according to department policy and procedure.
  • Complete procedure scheduling and charging, as well as other clerical duties.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and safety of imaging equipment.
  • Ensure the confidentiality of patient information and maintain an orderly work environment.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a 2-year certified Radiology Technologist School program.
  • Ability to pass specific competencies for this position.
  • Proficient oral and written communication skills.
  • 1 year of Radiology experience is preferred.
Physical Demands

This position requires prolonged standing and walking, as well as the ability to climb, balance, stoop, and kneel. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally, with assistance as needed.

Work Environment

The Imaging Technologist will work in a well-lit, climate-controlled setting and may be exposed to communicable diseases, hazardous chemicals, and unpleasant sights and odors.

Corporate Compliance

The Imaging Technologist is expected to receive training and/or attend necessary meetings to meet the criteria as outlined in Hillsboro Health's Corporate Compliance Plan and Code of Conduct.
