Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Radiologic Technologist to join our Interventional Radiology team at Kaiser Permanente. As an Interventional Radiologic Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate advanced imaging equipment and apply ionizing radiation to patients in accordance with standard operating procedures and departmental policies.
  • Position patients for imaging procedures, ensuring accurate and safe positioning.
  • Assist physicians with specialized diagnostic and interventional procedures, handling equipment and preparing procedure trays as needed.
  • Monitor patient condition throughout procedures, responding effectively to emergencies and maintaining a high level of patient safety.
  • Record and accumulate patient statistics, entering data into the Radiology Information System and supply inventory systems.
  • Participate in the scheduling, assignment, and review of work performed by Interventional Radiographers.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to colleagues, assisting with difficult problems and questions that arise during procedures.
  • Contribute to the development and modification of angiography and interventional practices and procedures.
Requirements
  • Minimum three years of recent experience as a Radiologic Technologist, including one year of recent experience in Interventional Radiology.
  • Graduation from an accredited ARRT-eligible educational program in Radiologic Technology.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in Cardiovascular Interventional Radiography, Vascular Interventional Radiography, or Cardiac Interventional Radiography.
  • Basic Life Support certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced certification in Cardiovascular Interventional Radiology or Vascular Interventional Radiology or Cardiac Interventional Radiology.
