We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Medical Assistant to join our busy cardiologist office in Tampa, Florida.

As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our office.

This is a full-time position that offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with a team of highly experienced cardiologists and make a positive impact on the lives of our patients.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting cardiologists in performing various medical procedures, including EKGs, stress tests, and echocardiograms.
  • Preparing examination rooms and ensuring they are clean and stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Escorting patients to examination rooms and obtaining their medical history, vital signs, and other relevant information.
  • Performing routine administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, and managing patient records.
  • Educating patients on cardiovascular health, lifestyle modifications, and medication management.
  • Assisting with the coordination of patient care, including referrals to other healthcare providers and scheduling diagnostic tests.
  • Adhering to all medical protocols, privacy regulations, and safety standards.
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
  • Continuously updating knowledge and skills through participation in professional development activities.

Requirements include:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a medical assistant training program is preferred.
  • Current certification as a Medical Assistant.
  • Previous experience working in a cardiology or internal medicine setting is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in medical terminology and familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
  • Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards patients.
