About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Allergy Nurse to join our team at Align ENT & Allergy. As an Allergy Nurse, you will play a critical role in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with allergies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer allergy tests, including skin prick tests and intradermal tests, following established protocols and ensuring patient comfort and safety.
  • Assist in the development of allergy treatment plans, including immunotherapy, based on patient symptoms and test results.
  • Administer allergy treatments, such as subcutaneous or sublingual immunotherapy, and monitor patient responses.
  • Educate patients on allergy management strategies, including allergen avoidance, medication use, and symptom control.
  • Document patient medical histories, symptoms, and treatment plans accurately and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate patient care and ensure a comprehensive approach to allergy management.
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment, adhering to infection control protocols and procedures.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and stay up-to-date with advancements in allergy diagnosis and treatment.

Requirements:

  • Current LPN/RN license.
  • Previous experience in allergy testing and treatment is preferred.
  • Knowledge of allergy testing techniques and procedures, including skin prick tests and intradermal tests.
  • Understanding of allergy immunotherapy administration and monitoring.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and the healthcare team.
  • Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
  • Ability to educate patients and their families on allergy management strategies.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Demonstrated commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
  • Willingness to continuously learn and stay current with developments in allergy diagnosis and treatment.
