Key Responsibilities
Pediatrix Medical Group collaborates with a prominent medical center to deliver specialized OB/GYN hospitalist services to the surrounding community. We are currently seeking a per diem OB/GYN Hospitalist to fulfill essential duties.
- Work alongside in-house neonatologists and NNPs in a Level III NICU with approximately 1,700 deliveries each year.
- Access to maternal-fetal medicine specialists for managing high-risk pregnancies.
- 24/7 in-house anesthesiology services available.
- Primary responsibilities encompass: OB triage, patient admissions, attending deliveries, inpatient care, managing unassigned patients, private call coverage, overseeing the OB floor, ER consultations for GYN emergencies, assisting in surgical procedures, fetal monitoring, and emergency responses during labor and delivery.
- Shifts consist of 24-hour in-house coverage.
- Possession of an active Texas medical license or an active IMLC is required.
- Board Certification in OB/GYN with recent hospitalist experience is mandatory.
