Civil Laborer/Pipelayer

We are seeking a skilled Civil Laborer/Pipelayer to join our team at Jackson Contractor Group, Inc. in Big Sky, MT.

The successful candidate will perform tasks involving physical labor at building, highway, and heavy construction projects. This includes operating a variety of hand and power tools, cleaning and preparing sites, digging trenches, erecting scaffolding, cleaning up rubble and debris, and removing waste materials.

• Clean and prepare construction sites to eliminate possible hazards.
• Control traffic passing near, in, and around work zones.
• Dig ditches or trenches, backfill excavations, and compact and level earth to grade specifications.
• Perform materials handling and storage.
• Load, unload, and identify building materials, machinery, and tools, and distribute them to the appropriate locations per project plans and specifications.
• Ensure that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed.
• Perform manual work in preparing areas for construction.
• Perform a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor in construction projects.

The ideal candidate will have excellent stamina and be able to lift heavy objects, walk, and stand for long periods of time. They will also have good manual dexterity and multilimbed coordination.
