Convenience Store Associate

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Convenience Store Associate to join our team at D&W Fresh Market. As a key member of our store team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and ensuring that our customers have a positive shopping experience.
Key Responsibilities- Process financial transactions accurately and efficiently, including handling cash, credit cards, and other forms of payment.
- Assist with receiving, unloading, and stocking products in the store, ensuring that shelves are fully stocked and facing is maintained.
- Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the sales floor, stockroom, and exterior areas.
- Comply with company policies and procedures, including those related to security, cash handling, and product handling.
- Assist with stocking items on the sales floor, cooler, and back room, and maintain a high level of product knowledge.
- Follow all PPE and Safety Guidelines, as well as Food Safety and Cleaning Expectations.
- May be assigned tasks in other departments based on customer experience need.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- One year of prior retail or related experience preferred.
- Good verbal communication skills and ability to interact politely and effectively with customers.
- Good customer service and organizational skills, with attention to detail.
- Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required.
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. May be required to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds frequently, and up to 50 pounds occasionally. The associate is required to stand and walk for extended periods of time and may bend, stoop, twist, and turn frequently.
