Maintenance Planner

The Maintenance Planner plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient procurement, delivery, and kitting of parts to improve equipment availability, maintenance efficiency, and employee safety. This position requires collaboration with Operations and the Maintenance/Engineering departments to develop and implement effective work control proposals.

• Maintenance Planning: Develop and maintain comprehensive maintenance plans for all equipment to reduce downtime and increase efficiency.
• Inventory Management: Maintain necessary maintenance parts inventory and order material as necessary to meet maintenance schedules and requirements.
• Task Monitoring: Monitor and track the progress of maintenance tasks to ensure they are completed on time and update the status of work orders in the CMMS system.
• Supplier Evaluation: Seek out and evaluate new sources of suppliers to achieve department and plant financial and quality goals.
• Communication: Provide all departments with status updates on open requisitions and coordinate with Materials/Receiving Department on receipt of purchase orders.

• Education: High School graduation or GED is required; College, Technical College, or Trade Program is preferred.
• Experience: 2+ years' experience in maintenance planning is required; 1 year of procurement experience is preferred.
• Skills: Mechanical and/or electrical maintenance background is preferred; demonstrated working knowledge of a CMMS system and Microsoft Office is required.
