Job Overview

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Execute all cleaning tasks within the facility and administrative buildings, including dusting, window washing, sweeping, mopping, and floor buffing.
  2. Utilize housekeeping tools and equipment effectively to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards.
  3. Evaluate the overall condition of the facility and propose recommendations for necessary maintenance or preventive measures.
  4. Distribute supplies and materials as needed; perform additional tasks as directed by the Lead Housekeeper.
  5. Carry out other related duties as assigned by the Lead Housekeeper or relevant personnel.

Qualifications:

  1. A minimum of two years of experience in housekeeping, with some skills in organizational record keeping and filing.
  2. Proficient in operating housekeeping equipment for facility cleaning.
  3. Ability to adapt to various working conditions.
  4. Capable of following both oral and written instructions.
  5. Preferred: High school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience may substitute for educational requirements.
  6. Must be physically able to lift up to 50 pounds and maintain that weight for one minute.
  7. Must be able to comprehend verbal and written directions and remain seated or standing for extended periods.
  8. Possess good auditory, visual, and olfactory abilities, with the dexterity to handle tools and equipment.
  9. Must maintain effective audio and visual discrimination necessary for observation, communication, reading, writing, and operating office and treatment equipment.
  10. Ability to communicate verbally via telephone and in writing using a computer for data entry and retrieval.
  11. Willingness to work with all patients of Methodist Family Health.
